1. What did you do in 2010 that you'd never done before? Ate sushi. 2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? I didn't make any resolutions that I remember. 3. Did anyone close to you give birth? No family members, but lots of friends.
4. Did anyone close to you die? No.
5. What countries did you visit? No countries=( I added Arizona to my lists of states and got to visit my beloved California this summer.
6. What would you like to have in 2011 that you lacked in 2010? Definitely more patience and creativity with my boys. My greatest desire is to have more and more joy in the children God has given me!
7. What date from 2010 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? My birthday was so special this year. God has blessed me with so many amazing, generous friends. I felt so loved by them. Zack and I got to go out to dinner ALONE for the first time in 6 months thanks to a friend that not only watched our boys, but gave a a gift card to a very nice local restaurant.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year? Being able to wear clothes that I hadn't worn since before Conner!
9. What was your biggest failure? Continuing to selfishly put my desires ahead of others. 10. Did you suffer illness or injury? I got the flu at the end of the summer and it completely wiped me out for almost a week. Not fun.
11. What was the best thing you bought? New boots!! I've been wanting a pair of boots for several years. I'm so excited! Also, I got a sweet new double stroller thanks to the generosity of another friend.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration? My husband works so hard to provide for our family. I really don't know how he does school, works and is an amazing husband and father at the same time.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? Governmental leaders.
14. Where did most of your money go? Gas, diapers, food and clothes for the boys.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about? Going to California this summer with Zack. It's was our first time to get away without the boys! It was so refreshing and relaxing. 16. What song will always remind you of 2010? Life is a Highway. My boys are obsessed with that song.
17. Compared to this time last year, are you: happier or sadder? Happier. I am so blessed. It has been my prayer that I would be filled with joy in being a mom. My situation hasn't changed (except for getting more sleep finally=), but my heart has!
18. What do you wish you'd done more of? Playing with my boys.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of? Whining.
20. How will you spend Christmas? Christmas Eve with my parents, grandparents, and two brothers, Christmas Day with Zack's parents and 7 brothers and then all of Zack's extended family on the 26th. 21. How will you spend New Years? Not sure. I'm pretty boring, so I probably won't make it until midnight.
22. What was your favorite TV program? I don't really watch tv besides kid's shows and the news. Does college football count?
23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year? Nope
24. What was the best book you read? I really enjoyed reading the Naria Series this summer. 25. What was your greatest musical discovery? I don't listen to much music these days. Usually, it just adds more chaos to all the boy noise=) I have liked Rascal Flatts lately.
26. What did you want and got? A new stroller and suede boots!
27. What was your favorite film of this year? I didn't watch a whole lot of movies. I liked Toy Story 3, the new Emma, Sherlock Holmes, Up, and the documentary Babies.
28. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? I was 25! Isn't that a cool age? Zack and I went to dinner and to a nice outdoor shopping center on my birthday eve. On my actual birthday we went to breakfast as a family to a local place, then Zack watched the boys and I got to take an epic Target trip and even go to the mall on my boot hunt. We ordered pizza for dinner and watched an old movie after the boys went to bed. It was a perfect day.
29. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? Getting to be with my husband more and spend time as a family more.
30. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2010? I think I've finally got a little bit more fashionable. I got some cute tops, boots and skinny jeans.
31. What kept you sane? My husband!

33. What political issue stirred you the most? Obamacare
34. Who did you miss? My husband
35. Who was the best new person you met? I've gotten to know so many new people at my church this year.
36. Tell us some valuable life lessons you learned in 2010: I have learned so much through motherhood this past year. I have continued to be stretched each and every day. God is faithful to answer prayers and will provide for us. It's easy for me to be worried about the future of our country and our future as a family. I'm trying to enjoy each day with my boys as a blessing from the LORD.
